Here's what's goin' on in our 4th Month!
* Fingernails, Eyelashes, Eyebrows and Head Hair are all forming up now - wonder what it'll look like? Dark and curly like Tatum's? Lighter and straight like Drake's? A mix would be cute..
* The outer ear is finished forming so he can now hear my voice - sorry bebeh! I does a lot of yelling "No" and "Stop that!".. Don't mean to scare you! You'll get used to it.. :D
* Baby sets to work making #1 and #2 - and so the circle of life continues! But don't get grossed out - #2 stays in the intestinal tract until birth (usually) and fetus peepee is so gentle that they can breathe it in along with the amniotic fluid without doing any harm to themselves..
* I've already began feeling "quickening" which are basically little flutters you feel when the baby moves around.. it's kind of like little thonking and I especially experience it when Pedro is driving >.>.. (again, sorry bebeh - Daddy is a horrible driver as you will well learn) - I expect full on kicks in the next week or two
* By the end of this month baby will have almost doubled in size! It's big'ol melon head is still twice the size of it's body though..
* I'm 35% done making this baby, woot! (that's a real word now - look it up)
* I'm having cravings for jarred and canned foods, particulary ones that are very sweet and/or very briney! Which is the main reason I love these!
They're called "Peppadews" and they're the best of both worlds - they're sweet cherry-like peppers.. My last boss introduced them to me as they're a new and upcoming thing.. They're also a pricey little craving (about $12 a jar - I ordered 6 online, lol) - I fill them with a creamcheese/Lepetite Moulé mixture
(or you could just use Alouetté) so I get that creamy/salty/sweet effect.. I'm also a fan of pepperochini and marachino cherries! Additionally, I'm lovin' some OJ and Vanilla Eggnog!
[talking of food just made me really hungry so I stopped here to make a snack of graham crackers topped with Nutella and Banana Slices with a mega-gulp cup of skim milk]
* According to the Chinese Lunar Calender I'm set to have a boy, which I've been sensing anyway.. I could be totally off-base but in the meantime it's just a bit of good fun.. any other mommies wanna take a crack @ it?

*** I'll be going in for my next OB appt someday soon here.. The jetlag is absolutely awful so until I have a chance to acclimate I'll hold off.. The weird thing about OB appts here is that yes, you go in as often as you would to offices in the states but you come whenever during the day.. It's kinda a first come first served basis though so I always show up now @ 9:00 am on the dot.. There's a coffee shop right outside of the office IN the hospital so I just chill there with my decaf mocha latte til I see other women clamering for a number ticket..
